Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have purchased a family home in Santa Barbara.
Apparently they have been living in the sprawling estate for the last few weeks after deciding the Beverly Hills life was not for them.
They were previously staying in actor Tyler Perry’s Los Angeles estate. Rumour has it that the lavish property proved too overbearing for Prince Harry whose transition to the California lifestyle has already come under lots of scrutiny.
Their new place is in a much quieter area and gives them more space for raising 15-month-old Archie.
It means they are still not too far away from Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland who lives in LA.
A source told the New York Post’s Page Six Column: “They are not houseguests of Oprah or anyone else, they bought this home themselves. This is where they want to continue their lives after leaving the UK.
“This is the first home either of them has ever owned. It has been a very special time for them as a couple and as a family — to have complete privacy for six weeks since they moved in.
“They intend to put down their roots in this house and the quiet community, which has considerable privacy. This is where they want to bring Archie up, where they hope he can have as normal a life as possible.”
