As Your Move reports a 50% increase, since lockdown, in all tenant enquiries about properties to let, including an 80% increase, in viewing enquiries alone via its website, it highlights just how important the use of an agency, and the effectiveness of its marketing, can be to the success and speed of renting a property.
Whilst the increase in enquiries supports the market wide increase in tenant demand and, in turn, as more rental properties become available, Your Move believes that making sure a property ‘stands out from the crowd’ is becoming even more important – as is the way tenant enquiries are handled.

Tenants can even have their very own ‘My Move’ account which will notify them of new properties that come to market. This can also help them keep track of any property searches they may have made on our site. It seems tenants are responding well to this and obviously its good news for landlords because we’re acting quickly on their instruction.
Since lockdown we’re experiencing a significant increase in tenant enquiries and yet, because we already had systems and processes in place, we’ve been able to immediately and successfully respond to them. Where we can, we ask all tenants if they would be prepared to rent on the strength of a 360° Virtual Viewing and 60% of prospective tenants say they would. It’s straightforward, quick and often leads to a property being let far quicker than we would normally expect and which ultimately benefits all concerned – We accept that 360° Virtual Viewing does not, in many situations, replace a viewing in person, it can be used to get an initial impression, prior to committing to a physical visit.
Combine this with the fact we have great branch teams on hand to help both the landlord and tenant (as well as the support of our experienced central letting teams) means we’ve hit the ground running since lockdown and, as enquiries continue to come in, we can’t see this stopping.”
