The Me Before You star and brain injury charity SameYou founder paid just over £3.5 million ($4,640,000) for her ultra-modern property in the Los Angeles beach town of Venice in 2016 – offering £246,000 above the asking price to secure the deal.

Thought to have been available for rent for around £25,000 a month at various times over the past four years, the spectacular two-bedroom home has now been listed for sale for £3.8 million ($4,995,000).

On a plot measuring just 0.12 acre, the huge 2,817sq ft gated property has been designed with privacy in mind — hidden from the road and neighbouring homes by a walled courtyard and mature trees.
