ven by global megastar Adele’s standards, being able to splash out almost £48 million on a single home is no mean feat.

Having already amassed a spectacular property portfolio that includes three adjacent homes in California’s upscale Hidden Valley, the Easy on Me singer has added another Beverly Hills estate to her collection.

The singer shared a photograph of herself and boyfriend sports agent Rich Paul outside their new home — the former home of Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone — on Instagram last night. And, all things relative of course, what a bargain it has turned out to be for the pair.

Rocky star Sylvester “Sly” Stallone listed his home for sale for an astonishing $110 million (£90 million) in January last year and now rumour has it Adele has managed to pay $52 million (£42.6 million) less than Stallone’s original asking price.

The North Beverly Park home was reduced to $85m (£62m) earlier this year. It’s thought Adele has snapped it up for $58m (£47.6m)

Even at its greatly reduced price, the latest buy has almost doubled Adele’s already impressive portfolio value in one transaction.

The six-bedroom home sits in the North Beverly Park enclave, a short drive from Adele’s Hidden Valley compound.

Stallone’s memorabilia room famously featured a life-size Rocky statue but it’s not known whether that was included in the sale. Adele recently revealed her most prized possession is a framed piece of Céline Dion’s used chewing gum gifted to her by Late Late Show host and friend James Corden.

It remains to be seen whether the pop queen has spent $58 million (£47.6 million) on Stallone’s former home purely because she’s a fan of his work, but the Rolling in the Deep star revealed in a Vogue interview in November that many of her pandemic workouts took place while movies played on the gym TV and the Rocky series was a favourite.

The vast home being sold by Stallone has a professional movie screening room, a cigar room with air-filtration system and a custom bar.

In addition to the main Mediterranean-style house there’s a two-bedroom guesthouse, a gym, infinity pool and eight-car garage with art studio, all on a plot of 3.5 acres.

Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg and the Biebers are among the celebrity locals in North Beverly Park.

While a short drive away in Hidden Valley, where Adele added former next-door neighbour Nicole Richie’s home to her collection in only June last year, the A-list crowd includes Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, and Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

Sylvester Stallone has reportedly swapped the mega estate for a $35 million (£26 million) Bermuda-style estate surrounded by palm trees in Florida.
